How it works

Updated

In short. You find out, for free, whether AI assistants name your business. If you want the detail, the full report costs $49 and is credited to your first month. If you go ahead, we do the work every month and measure it on the same questions, so you always know whether it is working.

01Step 1 — The free check

You give us your business name, your city and your type of business. We ask six AI engines — ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, Google Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Perplexity — thirty questions a real customer in your city would ask about your type of business. Not questions about you: questions about the need. "Best place for Botox in Scottsdale." "Cosmetic dentist in Miami that does veneers in one visit." "Top real estate agent for Lakewood, Dallas."

We send you three numbers: on how many of the thirty questions you were named, how many times your closest competitors were named, and on how many engines you appear at all. That is the check. It costs you nothing and you do not get a call.

Where we have already measured your city and industry, the check is immediate. Where we have not, we run the questions and you hear back within three business days.

Every result we show is obtained by asking AI engines the questions a real customer would ask, on a published list of questions, on published dates, and recording what each engine answered. Nothing is estimated.

02Step 2 — The $49 report

The check tells you whether you have a problem. The report tells you where it is. For each of the thirty questions, engine by engine, it shows:

  • whether your business was named, and in which position;
  • who was named instead, so you can see which competitors the engines favor and how consistently;
  • which of your own pages the engines read or cited, if any, and on which questions;
  • for the competitors named instead of you, the kind of sources each engine relied on — review platform, directory, local press, their own site — and how many back each one;
  • the exact wording of each answer, so nothing is summarized away.

The report is a PDF you keep. It costs $49, one time, and if you start a GEO plan within sixty days the $49 comes off your first invoice. We price it this way because it is the first week of the work, done early: it is how we set your exact monthly price inside our published range, and it is the baseline we measure against from then on.

What's inside the report

03Step 3 — Monthly GEO

If you go ahead, the work has four parts. None of them is new technology; what is new is doing them because the measurement says so, and measuring again.

Entity. We make sure every place an engine reads about you says the same thing: name, address, services, who you are for. Structured data on your site, consistent profiles where the engines look, and a short machine-readable summary of your business that the engines can quote.

Answers. We write the pages that answer the questions the engines were asked — on your own domain, in a section we add alongside your existing site, so your webmaster keeps running everything else. Each page answers one question the way a knowledgeable person would, with your business as a worked example.

Sources. We find the exact pages the engines cite in your market and get you into them: the directories, the local press, the review platforms, the professional listings that the engines are already treating as authoritative for your city. Who gets cited gets recommended.

Measurement. Every month, the same thirty questions go to the same engines, and you get the same report, with the movement. If the numbers do not move, you will know, and so will we.

04What we do not do

We do not call businesses to sell. We do not manage your Google Ads or your social media. We do not rebuild your website unless you ask for the GEO + website plan, and even then your team keeps the day-to-day updates. We do not promise a position: nobody controls what an engine answers, and anyone who says otherwise has not measured it. What we promise is the work, done every month, and the numbers, shown every month.

05Where the method comes from

The questions, engines and counting rules follow the methodology published by Visibilitas, an independent observatory of AI answers founded by the same founder. Visibilitas publishes rankings and open data and sells nothing; BrandPrompted sells the work and has no say in the observatory's results. The relationship is stated on both sites.
